Abstract

|
We compared Hb Aic micro column ion exchange chromatography(Bio-Rad, U.S.A. ) with Imx Glycated hemoglobin assay(Abbott laboratories. U.S.A.) for testing of HbAlc.

Alc by Imx assay ranged from 3.09 to 5.75. the reference ranges were 5.1-8.2%(mean 6.68%)for glycated hemoglobin and 4.6-6.7%(mean 5.66%)for Hb Alc by Imx assay. The correlation study between IMx Glycated Hemoglobin Assay and Hb Aic micro column
test
resulted in % Hb Aic IMx(Y)=1.17 Bio-Rad(X)+0.36(n=40, r=0.89(P<0.05).
